High Imperator is the title of the Alamír Empire's reigning figureheads and principal leaders. Throughout history, while the position's symbolic importance to the rest of its faction and its enemies has been largely unchanged, the amount of power vested in the title has changed across generations and cultural contexts of not only the Alamír Empire itself, but of the external powers around it.
In 4364 CGC, the current High Imperator is a robotic simulacrum of Derrin Stormwing IX that had been iterated upon in secret throughout the early years of the Millennial Calm by imperial loyalists and was unearthed in 4339 CGC, assuming the throne after a council vote in 4341 CGC. This replica of the old Empire's last leader is called differently both within and without imperial borders depending on the speaker's perspective or audience; those that see this replica, for better or worse, as the ancient High Imperator himself tend to refer to the modern version as "the ninth" while those that do not may instead use the name Derrin Stormwing X to distinguish between the two. This difference in naming can be pejorative in claiming that the replica is not a true successor, or it can be aspirational in envisioning a new future for the Alamír Empire.
